Oh – yes….I married a Bosnian who grew up under communism. Their Christmas was more about baking and a big dinner…and a pig roasted over a spit fire outside. I come from a traditional American family where Christmas was more like It’s A Wonderful Life…carolling and all. It’s been and adventure learning to marry our two cultures and come up with traditions that fit our family.
I’ve had to let a lot of mine go – but I’ve adopted some new ones. And that’s wonderful!
